Renting 101

Renting an apartment for the first time can be a rewarding experience and is considered a milestone of adulthood. However, with every right and experience, comes responsibility. The following are some links with information about how to rent an apartment and the responsibilities of the renter and the landlord. Companion Animals - This website discusses whether a person can be denied housing because of owning a companion animal. Courts have ruled that companion animals are a reasonable accommodation when needed for a person who has a documented disability.
